Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device Detection Course (PER-312)

Description

The Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) Detection course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to successfully and safely inspect for, identify, and/or respond to vehicle-borne explosive threats.

• Public safety officers
• Emergency managers
• Security officers
• Law enforcement officers
• Private sector security professionals

Recommended Prerequisites:

• AWR-333: IED Classification and Construction
• AWR-337: IED Explosive Effects and Mitigation
• AWR-338: Homemade Explosives & Procedures

Registration

Online registration will be completed through the FEMA Center for Domestic Preparedness. Students require a FEMA Student Identification (SID) number to register.
